Reflection AI said on Monday it has signed a deal with SpaceX that will grant the startup ​access to additional computing capacity at the Elon ‌Musk-led company's Colossus 2 data center.

SpaceX has inked a multibillion-dollar agreement to provide computing resources to artificial intelligence startup Reflection AI, the latest in a string deals from Elon Musk’s firm as it vies to become an AI infrastructure provider.

X users have reported issues with the app, feed and timeline, and the website itself this afternoon (June 22).

Instead, the companies will develop tools that assist with various aspects of filmmaking. A representative from A24 told The Wall Street Journal that the tools "won't look anything like the prompted generative type of AI that people feel uncomfortable with.

Another day, another insistence that AI needs to be part of the filmmaking process from companies that have already invested a ton of money into it. The latest comes as The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that Google has invested $75 million into A24 to forge an artificial intelligence partnership between the two companies.

A24's deal with Google DeepMind for a reported $75 million is for research purposes, not a production deal, and doesn't carry any mandate.

A24 is getting into the AI game, inking a joint venture with Google DeepMind. The film studio and the Google AI lab will develop AI tools together that can be used by the studio's filmmakers and also funnel back into the Google ecosystem.
